Seismic suspension protection
Reutlinger ‘Seismic’ - for movement reduction of suspended objects in the course of complex environmental conditions (not exclusively as a result of an earthquake)
Strong vibrations occur during an earthquake. These cause objects suspended in rooms to begin to swing. In extreme cases, these swings can cause the object to fall.
Of course, there are also other situations in which objects can start to swing; a draught from an air conditioning unit or an open window can also be a cause.
These movements can be reduced with the new Reutlingen ‘Seismic’ sets. This prevents an object from reaching a critical state in the first place.
The ‘Seismic’ sets restrict the movement (tendency to swing) of suspended objects. To do this, it must be ensured that all relevant degrees of freedom are secured by the set. This prevents the object from swinging dangerously.
